Thermal energy given off causes the skin cells to regenerate and rebuild the naturally occurring collagen. Laser peels help restore skin elasticity by smoothing out the skins surface and rebuilding your skin’s support structure.
Your healing time will vary depending on how deep the laser peel is. Your skin will feel swollen and tight immediately after the peel and you may experience a warm, tingling sensation. Depending on the depth of the peel, recovery can take from a few days up to a week. Redness can last from a few days to months, but eventually disappears.
